Cormorants of Florida
Every day we were on the St Johns River, we watched these birds!
They are so cool! Stretching this way and that. Sunning themselves.
The 'Gators' would float by and the birds would be oblivious to the danger!
(But you know? They never seemed to get eaten?)
And here's the eagle again!
And I cropped this one so you'd have a close-up!
All of these photos except the cropped one were again shot and loaded directly from my Nikon P90 and then posted without alteration of any kind.

that eagle is just majestic...i miss the birds from florida...we live on a lake and they would come visit daily...and the gators a couple times a year as well...
Great shots of the cormorants, they are one of my favorite birds to watch when we visit the coast. Love how the sunlight sparkles on the water. The eagle is beautiful.
Yes, cormorant and eagles are regal birds, aren't they? And I get to see both of them all the time here in the PNW. Thanks for sharing these great pictures.
I love the shots of the eagle. I enjoy taking pictures of water and birds...Love your shots here.
Love that eagle! I never see them close up.
Visiting from best posts of the week.
Love your photography! Something about the large sized photo's making the clarity seems to pop out.
I'l be back!
