Sure, I can get a Grackle to sit still, out in the open and looking pretty!

You'd think that a bird that a lot of folks think of as trash would hide more, wouldn't you?
Myself.. I like the way their necks are iridescent and I actually like their call.
The first photo was again shot and loaded directly from my Nikon P90 and then posted without alteration of any kind.

I would have thought him just another black bird, but look at that blue. You do take the time to see the beauty in things lots of us miss.
I would have thought he was a crow. I am not very observant.
A lot of people feel that way about starlings, too, but they are actually very pretty birds. Obnoxious, but pretty...
Beautiful. I don't think I ever saw a grackle--at least I didn't see such detail!
