Lake Margaret: The Tixth Great Lake?

When one of the big home builders in St Thomas, Ontario decided to develop a piece of land on the south side, they launched an interesting marketing campaign and called this subdivision Lake Margaret. Then, decided to nick-name it the Sixth Great Lake.

And this is it! Nice, big houses all around it and this park.

 The Canada Geese love it!
Doesn't this scene look peaceful and idyllic?

Well..... Maybe not so much for the homeowners.

       Fences anyone?

Awww! Baby ducks!

I must say I had to keep my eyes peeled on the grass as I walked to and from the car for the goose fertilizer!

....I'm glad it's not my back yard!

(But then, I live on a real Great Lake!)

All of these photos were again shot and loaded directly from my Nikon P90 and then posted without alteration of any kind.

Wow, that looks like quite a home! Hopefully the residents won't mind the company of their feathered friends!

Gorgeous pics! I would not like this kind of living that close to the water, but they sure have a beautiful setting here.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Yes, that's the only downside to lots of geese. I remember a park in Boulder that I had to be so careful walking around, same reason.
