Noses belong on faces.

Noses ... which one is which?

Let's put faces behind those noses!

Did anyone know there was a car called a Hornet?

Makes a modern day Nascar look pretty high tech, doesn't it?

Which nose adorned this red fireball?

Bet you can't guess what the Plymouth sports?

 Holey Moley from Plymouth!

Now we'll see who has the sculpture?

The winning-est race car in history, that's who!

Leave it to the Ford family to think up something like this! Now here's the real surprise!

Yes! A convertible!  In that lovely shade of salmon that only Ford would produce!

These photos are all from our trip to Darlington Motor Speedway in South Carolina at the Stock Car Museum. Thanks for coming along!

All of these photos were again shot and loaded directly from my Nikon P90 and then posted without alteration of any kind.

I'm not into cars, but I love looking at old cars. They just seem so much more interesting looking to me than the cars of today.

What a neat post! My hubby, who is an old car buff, and I have often talked about all the different noses the cars had with all that grill.....now you need to do a post on tails....they were pretty wild ones on some of the old cars!

I am always amazed, and it makes me feel so old, too, to see the radical changes in the cars from way back when to today.

Those are awesome photos of old cars! Cars today just don't have the style and personality of days gone by. They could have been created by cookie cutters...the cars of today. Maybe that's why I fell in love with the PT Cruiser when it came out.

What interesting looking old cars. It does bring back memories of my teen years, somehow.
