Winter Scenes

 Trees in Snow

Almost nothing is more beautiful than a tree.

Now, I say that a lot about all sorts of things and each time, I truly mean it. I look at something and it takes my breath away and it is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... Each and every time!

Stark branches cut against the snowy backdrop.

The whites of Birch and Poplar compliment the scene.

A hillside defined by the charcoals and grays.

A soldier that Mother Natures' erosive trait has claimed.

All of these photos were again shot and loaded directly from my Nikon P90 and then posted without alteration of any kind.

These are beautiful photos. I love trees too, especially since I live in place that is not naturally full of trees.

Wonderful shots, even lifeless looking scenes hold such beauty when you really look.

Agreed. I've been out (again!) taking pictures in the snow today. Mostly trees and fallen trees. Barns and more barns. Cows and horses and bales of hay. All stuff I've already got pictures of, but I'm obsessed. A different day, different light, different angle.
I love how your winterscapes at once capture the cold and harshness of the season, and at the same time, we see the softness and fragility of tender, wispy branches. Simply lovely, Lucy.

There is a tree in my backyard that has been my friend for many years. This tree brings me joy and provides comfort. Every time I look at it, I am amazed by its beauty. I love that tree and I feel like that tree loves me back.
